There’s usually going to be 12, sometimes 15, and very rarely 18 cards out at any given time. A set is three cards that, for each of these attributes, are either all the same, or all different. There are 3 4 combinations, and so a deck of SET cards has 81 total. I was looking for an excuse to play with OpenCV, and teaching a computer to play SET seemed like a good choice.Ī quick primer on SET: each card has four attributes: shape, color, number, and fill, each of which can have three different values. SET was a game I used to play with my family years ago, and I was reintroduced to it recently while attending the Recurse Center. Sets are indicated by cards that have the same outline color.
